Rockin' Ribs

While the lovely and talented Sarge was making an amazing Rib Roast, I took the occasion of the Buffalo Bills win to romp on some ribs... not there ever need be an occasion!

There was a wee bit o'contention about posting what has been a tightly held family secret, my succulent ribs, but what good are they if others do not enjoy?!

Cut that slab in half and boil them for 90 minutes. This brings out the flavor of the bone marrow as well as assists that meat from eventually falling off of the bone when it is time to chow.

Before they hit the grill I put a nice dusting of seasoned salt, seasoned pepper, garlic powder, red pepper flakes and a little bit of wooooostah sauce. Cattleman's BBQ is my favorite basting sauce which you only want to get ready... it'll get applied and caramelized on the grill.

Now we're ready to get a few pounds fatter...

So much for my weight loss plan!

Re-Charged

Despite a Power Outage, Kawika Mitchell provides the voltage necessary to take the Charge out of San Diego in Buffalo.

With an interception in the endzone that would have put the Chargers ahead, then a forced fumble to take the wind out the the Charger's sails, free agent acquisition from the Super Bowl Champ NY Giants, Mitchell dominates the game.

My Buffalo Bills are now 5-1 baby...

Apparently my attendance is a jinx... I'll be watching from my Man Cave from now on...

Operation October Vacation Continued...

We got to do some awesome local hiking today... man we live in an awesome area of the country! I'm beat and not in the typing mood so I'll let the photos speak for themselves... oh and Sarge and Wease were under the weather today so they stayed home. If they're better tomorrow they'll join us for a day at the creek tomorrow...

Operation October Vacation

I have had the pleasure of putting up my feet and doing pretty much nothing but eat and master Tiger Woods '09 on the Xbox 360 this week while listening to the madness on Wall Street and on the presidential campaigns as interpreted by the talk shows on AM radio this week. Talk about being in heaven!

That list of things to do around the house remains... yeah honey, I'm all over it today! Just let me post something real quick...

As my previous post indicated, I got to watch my Buffalo Bills get spanked by the Arizona Cardinals. We had fun tailgating where there seemed to be as many Bills fans in the parking lot as there were Cardinals fans!

My wife, bless her heart, donned some Buffalo gear despite her complete devotion to the Dallas Cowboys. Doesn't she look amazing in Red, White, and Blue?! You Bet'cha! C'mon babe, it can't be that bad!

Unfortunately we had this dopey Cardinals fan who undoubtedly still lives in Mommy's basement... trust me, I asked him! He had a blast heckling us...

After the game the boys got to 'Run with Red' down on the field. They were totally excited about that. They got to line up, hit a little obstacle course, then plow into a pylon for a touchdown.

I did find out that I shared a birthday with Big Red. Apparently Big Red has an appetite for weasels for when Tha Wease took the field Big Red swooped down upon him and threw him up on his shoulder...

Unfortunately, the pylon was the victor of the battle between Tha Wease vs The Pylon.

After the game we went to our friend's house to pick up the other three kids who had a blast hiking, swimming, and playing with their kids and made the 4 hour trek home. I've since spent the last few days recovering and relaxing...

Today I think we're going to go out and shoot some pictures of our awesome little mountain town. If they come out alright, I'll post them next... naturally after I finally get some things done around the house...

Awww Yeahhhhh...

I'll be a dot of Blue in a sea of Cardinal Red and White! My birthday present this year is to see my team, the unbeaten Buffalo Bills visit the Arizona Cardinals this afternoon.

Sarge, Tyler, and the Weasel are going with me while the twins and my muffin hang with one of my old pals who now lives in Phoenix.

We'll be in the nosebleeds, Section 434, Row 1.

Let's GO Buff-ALO!
