No Veto for Alito

The Democrats threat of a filibuster of Alito is like a mosquito sucking the blood from a burrito.

I think I better stick to ranting rather than rhyming...

Anyway... here are some tidbits of the Democrats pathetic "leaders"...
Who are absolutely leading their party to extinction, or at least cornering the market on the ignoramous vote.

Hillary Clinton:
"History will show that Judge Alito’s nomination is the tipping point against constitutionally-based freedoms and protections we cherish as individuals and as a nation. He would roll back decades of progress, and roll over when confronted with an administration too willing to play fast and loose with the rules."
Fast and Loose eh? Sounds like an administration she's extremely familiar with...

John F'ing Kerry:
"The critical question here is why are we so compelled to accept, in such a rush, a nominee who has so clearly been chosen for political and ideological reasons"
Lurch, there is nothing with you that can be considered 'done in a rush'. McClellan got him pretty good with this swipe:
"This was the first time ever that a senator has called for a filibuster from the slopes of Davos, Switzerland," McClellan said at his daily briefing for reporters. "I think even for a senator, it takes some pretty serious yodeling to call for a filibuster from a five-star ski resort in the Swiss Alps."
That's my dawg...

Meanwhile my illustrious Senator here in Nevada, 'dirty' Harry Reid, sees the impotence of his party's power:
"Everyone knows there is not enough votes to support a filibuster," Reid said, referring to the procedural roadblock that some Democrats said should be used to put off a vote on Alito.

The Nevada Democrat said, however, he would vote for such a measure to at least send a message of opposition to the nominee.
Doing what you do best... whine and obstruct... When are you going to do something productive Fairy Reid? Perhaps when you lose your job ala Tom Daschle, you can mine for some dignity down in Searchlight NV...

Then we have leather-face Nancy Pelosi, leader of the democrats in Congress with this intellectual gem:
"At a time when the President is unilaterally asserting expansive and unprecedented powers to conduct domestic surveillance and when the federal government is encroaching on the privacy rights of the American people as never before, Judge Alito's documented record of excessive deference to the President's power is a risk we cannot take."
First of all, you'll be the first to scream "Why didn't you connect the dots" should there God forbid be another attack within our borders, assuming your face doesn't pop off of your skull by then...

Second, the absolute lack of historical perspective this woman exhibits in her asanine statement is just what the democrats need to lead their lemmings in the House of Representatives...

Witness people, the slow death of a political party...

I'm not sure my words were any better than yours.

I liked the rhyme, by the way.

I think the idea of the filibuster, that is going to fail, is to keep the money folks interested in Kerry, etc. They know they can't win the battle, but if they don't fight it, too many of the looney left base will abandon them.

Well put, Peakah!

They are dying a slow death.
Too slow, if you ask me...

As far as I care, politicians with that type of ignorant rhetoric can just go far far away... like to Paris. (How bout staying in Switzerland there Kerry?)

That goes for those on the right as well... but fortunately for them they have a much tougher (aka informed/intelligent) audience to cater too...
