Raider Nation Alert

Thanks to jakejacobsen at Freedom Folks where I saw this:

There's a follow up to the Convenient Targets post I recently posted about the men who looked like Nation of Islam thugs destroying an Oakland convenience store- all caught on surveillance tape.
Black Muslims in Oakland
Last Week: Vandalism, This Week: Kidnapping & Arson

29 November 2005: Last Wednesday, a group of about a dozen black Muslims wearing suits and bow ties - attired in the same fashion as members of the Nation of Islam, brazenly vandalized two Oakland, California liquor stores, terrorizing the store clerks and warning them not to sell liquor to blacks and black Muslims.

Using metal pipes, the men smashed cooler doors, swept numerous bottles of liquor from store shelves and knocked over food displays. The attacks took place at the New York Market at 3446 Market Street in Oakland, and the San Pablo Liquor Store, 2363 San Pablo Avenue, also in Oakland.

Although attired like the members of the Nation of Islam headed by Louis Farrakhan whose signature garb consists of dark suits and bow ties, investigation suggests that the perpetrators are associated with a group of radical black Muslims once led by now-deceased Yusef Bey (born Joseph Stevens in 1935).

Bey's group operates Your Black Muslim Bakery Store Chain located at 5832 San Pablo Avenue, also in Oakland. Bey and his followers have a long history of violence associated with their group, which was allegedly inspired by the Nation of Islam. Just last month, Yusef Bey's son and successor to lead the group of radicals was slain in an assassination-style hit.

Bey reportedly discovered the Nation of Islam in 1964 and met with their leader, Elijah Muhammad on numerous occasions, also taking the advice of Muhammad to locate in Oakland. A thorough and extensive historical account of Bey and his group of black Muslims is located at this LINK.

More Violence:

Yesterday, the owner of the New York Market that was vandalized last Wednesday, Tony HAMDAN, was kidnapped and his store set ablaze, destroying the establishment.

HAMDAN was found locked in the trunk of a blue car in the parking lot of the Safeway store on San Pablo Avenue in El Cerrito about 1:40 P.M. He did not appear to be harmed during the abduction.

Although Oakland police have not publicly admitted a direct connection between last week's "attacks" and the arson and kidnapping, sources privately stated that there is a direct connection between the events, the perpetrators are some of the same individuals who terrorized the establishments, and about a half-dozen arrest warrants have been or will be issued for the men identified on the surveillance footage from the stores.
jakejacobsen at Freedom Folks recognizes that: "This is the kind of crap that has been going on in the slums of Paris for quite a while now. And Lord knows it worked out well there."

Oakland being compared to France is reason enough to unleash The Raider Nation on these fools.

You are Going to hear a Sucking Sound

There are a few stories about abortion that have popped up on the radar over the last week that well... leave an impression that is beyond words.

I'm not really sure what I can possibly say except that I've completely lost my appetite, and for a long time.

I really have no other words.

First: Offering Abortion, Rebirth
An 18-year-old with braces on her teeth is on the operating table, her head on a plaid pillow, her feet up in stirrups, her arms strapped down at her sides. A pink blanket is draped over her stomach. She's 13 weeks pregnant, at the very end of the first trimester. She hasn't told her parents.

Harrison glances at an ultrasound screen frozen with an image of the fetus taken moments before. Against the fuzzy black-and-white screen, he sees the curve of a head, the bend of an elbow, the ball of a fist.

"You may feel some cramping while we suction everything out," Harrison tells the patient.

A moment later, he says: "You're going to hear a sucking sound."

The abortion takes two minutes. The patient lies still and quiet, her eyes closed, a few tears rolling down her cheeks. The friend who has accompanied her stands at her side, mutely stroking her arm.

When he's done, Harrison performs another ultrasound. The screen this time is blank but for the contours of the uterus. "We've gotten everything out of there," he says.

As the nurse drops the instruments in the sink with a clatter, the teenager looks around, woozy.

"It was a lot easier than I thought it would be," she says. "I thought it would be horrible, but it wasn't. The procedure, that is."
*retch* ...that wasn't so horrible was it... just don't think about the soul that has just been sucked into the garbage...

Story number two: Fifty babies a year are alive after abortion
A GOVERNMENT agency is launching an inquiry into doctors' reports that up to 50 babies a year are born alive after botched National Health Service abortions.

"They can be born breathing and crying at 19 weeks' gestation," he said. "I am not anti-abortion, but as far as I am concerned this is sub-standard medicine."
How about considering it a sub-standard procedure to begin with... that's what it is. The absolute disregard and disrespect for human life is disturbing and is the fertilizer for the expansion of evil in the hearts of men.

Trees and animals are more protected than our country's babies.

But don't say a word: Abortion survivor's speech aborted
(from my post a couple days ago)
A 28-year-old abortion survivor was prohibited from speaking at an Irish college, which claimed the insurance premium was insufficient.

Gianna Jessen survived a saline abortion at the seven-month gestation stage period. As a result, she suffers from cerebral palsy, a disorder that is caused by flawed development of or damage to areas of the brain that control a person's ability to move and stand or sit upright. Jessen considers the disorder a gift. She has traveled the world sharing her story and being living evidence that abortion takes a human life.

Ultrasound, a pro-life student network arranged multiple speaking engagements for Jessen at Irish colleges.

Jessen was greeted at most colleges with a warm welcome, but University College Dublin officials tried to prevent her from sharing her testimony to students. Ultrasound was told that it needed to provide insurance for the event, and on the morning of the speech Ultrasound was told that the insurance did not meet the necessary requirements and that, therefore, Jessen could not speak.

No insurance broker could provide the coverage necessary to facilitate for the event, which UCD considered to be an extreme risk event. This was the first time this sort of insurance was required to have a speaker, leading some to believe that this was an attempt by the college to keep her from speaking.
An Extreme Risk Event??? Unless abortions are being performed on stage I fail to see the extreme risk of merely discussing an actual experience with abortion!

Unbelievable...

I've regularly taken this issue head on, usually solo, in college classes where this subject was debated. It broke my heart to watch the rationalization of particular desires cloud the fact that a miraculous and sacred event has occurred inside the body of a woman.

I realize that there are innumerable nuances that I can agree will facilitate the necessity of an abortion. You know what they are.

The non-shalant attitude and twisted perspective consistently fed to us despite the clear and present tragedy of abortions is nothing short of devious.

Hitler in a Headscarf

I know that is a Savage phrase, and we all know how cranky he gets if he doesn't get credit for his phrases but it was the obvious title of this story that has yet to hit his own site... at least when this was typed!
JERUSALEM- A terrorist known in his hometown as "Hitler", both for his physical resemblance to the German dictator and for his policies- has swept local primaries and will represent his district for the ruling Fatah party in upcoming Palestinian legislative elections, according to Palestinian sources.
Is this like a setup or something? I mean the infinite parallels are uncanny.
Jamal Abu Al-Rub, a leader of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, won the Fatah primaries in the northern Samarian village of Qabatya, just outside Jenin, election officials say. He was one of dozens of terrorists and militant leaders to dominate the local elections.
Doesn't this sound like the perfect place to turn into a colossal glass exhibit? I'm no defense expert but I might as well be.

In case you weren't sure:
The Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, founded in 2000, is a terrorist group responsible for dozens of deadly suicide bombings and hundreds of shooting attacks against Israeli civilians.
But don't hollah Rub-a-dub dub... there's a Hitler in the Tub out in the streets...
A source close to the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, speaking on condition of anonymity, told WND, "If you ask around in the West Bank who is Abu Al-Rub, most people won't know. But when you ask them about the guy nicknamed Hitler, everyone knows exactly who he is."
Well duh, in this age of one name wonders, why not snag Hitler! He wanted Madonna but heard that she has some phony comeback in progress...

Supreme Court Crumbles

...Literally!

We can be sure that more of the foundations of our Supreme Court will be shaken when Samuel Alito begins the Senate's Confirmation process! I haven't made my mind up on him yet but from what I've heard, I like him.
Nov. 28 (Bloomberg)
Samuel Alito's long paper trail presents an inviting target for Senate Democrats considering his U.S. Supreme Court nomination; the temptation to attack also carries political danger for them.

Unlike John Roberts -- President George W. Bush's choice to be chief justice, who breezed to Senate confirmation in September -- Alito ruled in hundreds of cases as a federal appellate judge. He also criticized several landmark Supreme Court rulings in a 1985 application for a job in President Ronald Reagan's administration. Opposition to Alito, 55, has coalesced around that memo, which faulted high court rulings protecting abortion rights and limiting school prayer.
What's not to love about this guy!
"I don't think the public has been told anything about Alito that troubles them" according to Washington analyst Jennifer Duffy.

I agree.

The Boston Globe makes no bones about how they feel! *laugh*
Republican supporters in Congress have said that any effort to block the Alito nomination through a Senate filibuster would be an outrage. Equally outrageous would be the country's return to the days before the Warren Court -- a darker, poorer time of liberty and justice for some.
Same ole line...

Brits are Busted, Clark is Coo-Coo

Some damning videos have creep-ed up on the net this weekend!
Have you guys seen these yet?

First is this video taped hazing incident among the royal guard of the British army. Dude takes a gnarly shin upside the head and gets KO'ed while in the midst of taking orders from a wasted and twisted superior officer...

The next one was a series of videos allegedly taken by members of the AEGIS DEFENSE LTD, a British Security firm in Iraq, showing some incredible footage of cars following a security vehicle a little too closely being expertly shot up.

I'm having a hard time finding direct links to the video, Drudge took them down last night when I was watching them. The Aegis rogue site is no longer showing them that I can find anyway. They were wild.

Upon further reading I found out how the Irish feel about this company! There's no shortage of controversy surrounding Tim Spicer, the owner of Aegis...

If anyone knows what videos I'm talking about and where I can find them, if they're still around, let me know.

Anyway, what a weird weekend... it doesn't get any better...
Mensa Barbie posted about this yesterday.

Ramsey Clark, a traitorous scumbag former Attorney General under LBJ, arrives in Baghdad today to assist in the legal council for Saddam Hussein! Can anyone in their right mind explain this please??

Naturally, his motives are pure...
"Our plan is to go to court in Baghdad on Monday morning representing the defense counsel as defense support. A fair trial in this case is absolutely imperative for historical truth to justice obviously," Mr. Clark told Reuters news agency in Amman.
Really? Is that really your intent Ramsey?

We'll see what type of arguments he uses to bury and make inadmissible particularly damning information about Saddam, then we'll see how concerned he is about historical accuracy!

After a whole year I finally received my 10,000th Visitor!

Convenient Targets

As found at Bareknuckle Politics via
The Political Teen...

...some disturbing surveillance video of what looks like thugs fresh from a Nation of Islam rally ready to meet out some Islamic 'justice'.
OAKLAND- Abdul Saleh has just one question for the men- suspected by authorities to be Black Muslims- who trashed his corner store late Wednesday, terrorizing his 17-year-old son and another clerk and causing thousands of dollars in damage.
Why?

"I don't know why they tried to destroy my life," said Saleh, who has owned San Pablo Market and Liquor in West Oakland since 1986. "We came here for a better living, not to make war with anybody."

About a dozen African-American men wearing suits, white-collared shirts and bow ties- a trademark of the Nation of Islam- entered the store on San Pablo Avenue and West Street about 11:30 p.m.

One went behind the counter and swept dozens of shelved liquor bottles to the floor. Others smashed glass refrigerator doors with long, slim metal pipes, breaking beer and wine bottles inside the cases. The whole incident from start to finish was caught on surveillance tape.
Here is some expert moonbat analysis on whyyyyyyyyy these men are compelled to do what they do...
From Indybay.org:
Wednesday, near midnight, about a dozen or more African-Americans, apparently of Muslim background smashed an alcohol store (owned by a Muslim of Arab background) in Oakland, California.

Before we go about doing our usual round of condemnations - lets take a look at some facts:

1. Oakland has a poverty rate of nearly 20%. However, for the area (near East Oakland) where these two stores were located, this rate is far higher: upwards of 60 to 70%, and the residents are primarily African American and Latino (Mexican and Central American backrounds).

2. Oakland has over 350 liquor stores, and, in some of the poorest areas - there are two or three of these "stores" (call 'em drug pushers) on a single block! This means that the bulk of these stores are located in poor neighborhoods.
Therefore smash away at the Evil Corporate American Empire as personified by immigrant owned convenience stores? huh?

As Mr. Bareknuckle puts it: Problem- They didn't steal anything and those suits don't look cheap, try again.
OAKLAND (KRON)
The Nation of Islam says its members were not involved in a pair of vandalism attacks on Oakland liquor stores that were captured on surveillance video.
They don't even have the guts to admit that they just may be practicing what they preach... Ever heard their loony leader speak?

How about trying to be re-named by this wingnut! I shall be known here on out as: Zuwarah! So, what's your Nation of Islam name?

I feel like a new man,
I think I'll grab a bat and go take out a 7-11...

Urban Foraging

This may be all the proof I need to prove that lack of particular meat proteins are damaging to your rationality.

The 'freegans' are on the loose and they're digging through your garbage for your pre-chewed food in the name of conservation!
The anti-capitalist freegans- the name combines "free" and "vegan" -are so appalled by the waste of the consumer society that they try to live on the leftovers, scavenging for food in supermarket dustbins.
Has anyone seen that ABC show Wife Swap? What a trip... A couple of weeks ago they featured a 'freegan' family who swapped moms with a spoiled rich Providence family. It was priceless!
For energy-conserving, dreadlocked couple Sienna (34) and 'Ash (24) Kestrel, shunning the American dream is a way of life. . Not only do Sienna's 12 year-old son, young purple haired Ian and his skirt-wearing stepfather, 'Ash, share in the housework, they also team up with Sienna to make their living by diving through local dumpsters for food and cast-off furniture. The family do all they can to make certain their income stays below the poverty level.
Now that's entertainment! A Times Online article features these fruitcakes:
"It's fun. It's a thrill. It's more fun and more satisfying than just going to the store and saying, 'I wanted some bread and I got it'. It's the surprise- and the prize," said Janet Kalish, a New York high school teacher who describes herself as "60 per cent freegan".
It would have to be a high school teacher from NYC!

Now that I think about it, they're making someone else's means of survival a thrill seeking sport! I'm no hobo, although I play one on the blog-o-sphere, I'd be kickin the crap out of these nutjobs! Where's their compassion really?

If this is something that you have experience with or feel the insane need to try, check out this list of "favorite foraging sites". Let me know what'cha come up with!

Tis the Season to be Pushy

everybody sing:
Haaa ha ha ha haaaaa
haaaa ha ha ha...

Drudge summed it up nicely with the headline:

Season's Beatings!!

Nothing like a little video footage of Darwinism in effect... although it's more survival of the greediest than anything else. However, being fit may help survive the stampede.

When all else fails, blame it on the security guy... yeah, more gratituous video... awesome eh?

My wife wanted me to go to Wal-Mart this morning to get the new Garth Brooks Box Set for half price! Luckily I got off of the hook and avoided the madness. I just don't do well in the "shopping" environment...

the frenzied energy exuded by those who shop with this air of total desperation gives me the heeebe-jeeebe's. I always come out of those places extremely drained. I volunteered to babysit instead. Yeah watching my 5 kids (+1 cousin which got me out of the shopping job) can be just as nutty as a packed mall, thankfully I control the environment in my own home. The mall however is a whole different planet.

The box set was purchased online... (thank you Algore for the Internet!)

Naturally we'll buy the obligatory gifts here and there but this year we really wanted to concentrate on the True Spirit of the Season and allow our kid's creativity to shine as they determine and make their own gifts for Gramma, Grandpa, Nana, Pawpaw, and everyone else.

Remember the difference in giving a gift that had hours and thought and heart invested in it as compared to those gifts that are purchased? I remember making little easy bake oven style stained glass Christmas ornaments each year when I was a kid.

I want our kids to feel and understand that spirit of energy investment for the benefit of others.

Not necessarily that this is somehow more virtuous or anything... money being tight this time of year makes this a much more attractive and realistic option anyway.

I remember the couple of years that were spent just trying to climb out of the debt that Christmas shopping had put us in, only to do it again the following year. There is so much more to the Christmas Holiday than that. I hope to convey that to my kids so that this season is more magical than only the tearing open of wrapped gifts... that the memories and feelings of love and charity gets experienced over the course of the next several weeks rather than over the course of a couple of hours on Christmas morning. That same Spirit of Charity and Love as exhibited by Jesus who's birth we are supposed to be celebrating.

My wife and I determined that our trip to Hawai'i this spring will be our Christmas present to each other this year, some well deserved time away and alone on a beach with the sun setting on the Ocean... cue the fruity drink creators!

Anyway, just seeing the news today of the human stampede into mega retailers reminded me of exactly what I don't like about the emerging attitude toward the Christmas Season. Not to mention the routine fights between those who wish to celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ and those who wish to extinguish any vestige of his influence in our society... yeah, US vs. The ACLU.

Ahhh yes... Hunting Season on American Christian Heritage has reopened.
Lock and load...

Thanksgiving 2005

My tribute to the Euro centric (a bad word in Sociology classes across America) Thanksgiving Day Tradition...

Our Founding Father, George Washington, Proclaimed Thanksgiving Day an Official American Holiday... click on picture to read his words

Here's the introduction:
Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor -- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me "to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness."

Insolublog, another great example of the greatness of America, humbly reminds us what we so take for granted each day. These are things to truly be thankful for.

Thenagain, there's Dr Phat Tony's version of what happened...

Here's a site dedicated to the True Story of Thanksgiving...

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Two Tough Questions

Question 1:

If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Read the next question before looking at the answer for this one.

Question 2:

It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts.
Here are the facts about the three leading candidates.

Candidate A -

Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists.
He's had two Mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B -

He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C -

He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be your Choice?

Decide first, no peeking, then scroll down for the answer.

----------------------------------------------

Candidate A: is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Candidate B: is Winston Churchill.
Candidate C: is Adolph Hitler.

And, by the way, the answer to the abortion question:
If you said yes, you just killed Beethoven.

Remember:

Amateurs built the Ark

Professionals built the Titanic

and in case you never saw this one......

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:

* 29 have been accused of spousal abuse
* 7 have been arrested for fraud
* 19 have been accused of writing bad checks
* 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
* 3 have done time for assault
* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
* 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
* 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
* 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group of idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

Dis-Oriented

There must be something about the Orient that dis-orients the Bushes.

On January 8th 1992 GHW Bush yaks in the lap of Japanese Prime Minister Miyazawa Kiichi, and then faints during a state function in Tokyo. An incident which inspired the Japanese Slang Verb 'bushusuru' which literally translated is 'Bushing it'.

In a visit to Beijing
President George Bush worshipped at a state-run "patriotic" church yesterday in an appeal for China to grant greater religious and political freedom to its citizens.

But reflecting the White House's policy of cautious engagement, Mr Bush's lectures about human rights were mixed with entreaties to his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao, for greater economic cooperation. Apparently tired after trips to Japan and South Korea, Mr Bush was on mixed form. At one point, he attempted to dodge a reporter's question about his seeming exhaustion by trying to walk out through double doors that turned out to be locked. "I was trying to escape. Obviously, it didn't work," he quipped. An aide pointed him towards the correct door.
See the Video Here at The Political Teen.

Ok so GWB didn't bushusuru, but this isn't helping their perception in that part of the globe... GWB my man, time to regroup back at the ole ranch.

Classic Blog-er-view

I just read a classic post that will encapsulate this space and time in the history of the blog-o-sphere...

Basil sets up an interview with Harvey from Bad Example in a classic interchange.

Prince Charles- The Master of the Obvious

In true 'Master of the Obvious' style, Prince Charles who so bravely stood up for London during the subway bombing attacks this summer, now has his precious personal memoirs exposed as he galivants across the globe speaking out about global warming and other nonsense.

He's quick to describe global warming as 'terrifying' yet radical Islamic brainwashed youth are something to be tolerant of, if you were to notice which issues he desires the press to cover.

Just don't interrupt his vacation on the Mediterranean!

Despite the fact that this inbred has won life's lottery, he's become life's loser:
Britain's Prince Charles launched legal action after comments about Chinese diplomats from one of his private journals were published in a British weekly newspaper.

The journal contained the heir to the throne's views on the 1997 hand-over of Hong Kong to China, including one describing Chinese government people as "appalling old waxworks".

The comments appeared in the Mail on Sunday, which is owned by Associated Newspapers.

"The Prince of Wales's office has been advised by lawyers that the Mail on Sunday has breached both the Prince of Wales's copyright and confidentiality," a statement said..

"This is a matter of principle," said Sir Michael Peat, the prince's Prince Charles' principal private secretary, "like anybody else, the Prince of Wales is entitled to write a private journal without extracts being published.

"This journal was copied and passed on to the Mail on Sunday without permission."

In the journal, the prince wrote: "After my speech, the President (Jiang Zemin) detached himself from the group of appalling old waxworks who accompanied him and took his place at the lectern.

"He then gave a kind of 'propaganda' speech which was loudly cheered by the bussed-in party faithful at the suitable moment in the text."

The prince also expresses his horror at the "awful Soviet-style display" as Chinese troops "goose step" to "haul down the Union Jack and raise the Chinese flag" during a "ridiculous rigmarole".

The 3,000-word journal, entitled "'The Handover of Hong Kong' - or 'The Great Chinese Takeaway'," was circulated to relatives, friends, political contacts and courtiers.
This schmuck is more concerned about the reactions his words are going to get than he is about solving his country's most significant problem... just so happens to be the same problem that France seems to be currently facing.

I guess us North Americans are going to have to step up in the not too distant future and save Europe's rear-end once again.

Not that this comes as any suprise to any of us who have been paying attention.

I had to pimp this from Tyler D's site:

Apparently this guy(?) cleanses his palate with delicate smells of wild meadow flowers just after huffing a gallon of gasoline.

Nice find TD... that is hilarious! If that weren't enough, he had to post this crap!

'Freedom From Religion'

Here's a heartwarming little story from N. Korea for all of you who think that we experience religious oppression from the Christians in this country,

Found on Drudge,
By MEGHAN CLYNE - Staff Reporter of the Sun
November 16, 2005

WASHINGTON - A woman in her 20s executed by a firing squad after being caught with a Bible. Five Christian church leaders punished by being run over by a steamroller before a crowd of spectators who "cried, screamed out, or fainted when the skulls made a popping sound as they were crushed."

These and other "horrifying" violations of human rights and religious freedom in North Korea are reported in a new study by the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, titled "'Thank You, Father Kim Il Sung': Eyewitness Accounts of Severe Violations of Freedom of Thought, Conscience, and Religion in North Korea."
I'm wondering what prompted the quotes around the word horrifying above. Is it only horrifying to certain people? It's certainly horrifying to me and it is the road we're leading down with this phony fear of religion that is emerging in this country. I wonder if Michael Newdow finds it horrifying?
"Satellite maps of North Korea show prison camps the size of whole cities," Mr. Bush said. "We will not forget the people of North Korea."
Is there any wonder how Korea and China are able to produce products so cheap? Christian Slave Labor... unless of course they decide to steamroll them. Seems about as fair as throwing Christians in with the Lions eh?
Among the first-hand reports are eyewitness accounts of Christians' being executed for the underground practice of their faith.

The study recounts, for example, how in November 1996 in North Korea's South Pyongan province, a unit of the North Korean army was tasked with widening a highway connecting Pyongyang to a nearby port city. While demolishing a vacant house, soldiers found in the basement, hidden between two bricks, a Bible and a list of 25 names. Among the list were individuals identified as a Christian pastor, two assistant pastors, two elders, and 20 parishioners who were identified by their occupations.

Hunted down at their workplaces by military police, the 25 Christians were rounded up and detained without any formal judicial procedure. Later that month, the parishioners and their clergy were brought to the road construction site, where spectators had been arranged in neat rows to observe the public execution of the pastor, assistant pastors, and elders. According to a report based on an eyewitness account, the five church leaders "were bound hand and foot and made to lie down in front of a steamroller," accused of subversion and of being Kiddokyo, or Protestant Christian, spies.

The 20 parishioners were detained near their clergy, and watched, along with the assembled audience, as the five Christian leaders were told they could escape death if they denied their faith and pledged to serve only Kim Jong Il and his father, the first dictator of communist Korea, Kim Il Sung. According to the eyewitness, the clergy remained silent.

For their steadfast belief, the Christians were executed. According to the report, "Some of the fellow parishioners assembled to watch the execution cried, screamed out, or fainted when the skulls made a popping sound as they were crushed beneath the steamroller."
Unreal... oh, but wait there's more charming news from the Dictatorial Utopia of N. Korea...
Another account contained in the report says that on a summer day in North Korea in 1997, a young woman was washing clothes in a tributary of the Tumen River when she dropped a small Bible she had hidden amid the laundry. Spotted by a fellow washerwoman, the girl was reported to North Korean authorities on the suspicion that she was engaging in an exercise of thought or religion condemned by the state. The girl, believed to be in her 20s, and her father, estimated to be around 60, were arrested by local national security police and imprisoned for three months.

One morning, they were taken to a public market area, where, after a brief show trial, the father and daughter were condemned as traitors to the North Korean nation and its communist dictator, Kim Jong Il. The father and daughter were then tied to stakes a few meters from where they had been "tried," and, before an assembly of schoolchildren, were riddled with bullets by seven policemen who fired three shots each into the pair. According to a report drawn from eyewitness accounts, "The force of the rifle shots, fired from fifteen meters away, caused blood and brain matter to be blown out of their heads."
Note to Dick(head) Durbin: This is what a real Gulag and real torture consists of. The killing and torturing of innocent people, not the killing and torturing of those who seek to separate your pea brain from your shoulders... jackass.

Politicians on Parade

Click on picture to see video of all these naysayers who think we went to Iraq under false pretenses.

How can you vote for people who blindly follow the political path of least resistance rather than make decisions based on principals? They think we are too dumb or short-memoried to notice their duplicity.

How can these people maintain power after this? Don't answer that, it's too sad...

New Retirement Plan

I have a feeling that I'm going to have difficulty selling this blog for the amount technocrati seems to value my blog at.
(See 'Retirement Plan' in the sidebar)

If that doesn't work out I think I've found an alternative plan.
Dublin, Nov. 14 (Reuters): A nursing home in Ireland has hit on a cheering way to keep up the spirits of its elderly patients- by providing its own pub.

St Mary's Hospital in County Monaghan, near the Irish border with Northern Ireland, believes ready access to a good pint may help its patients- average age 85- actually live longer.

The pub, which opens at 11 am and closes at 9 pm and charges normal bar prices, had also led to an increase in the number of visitors, she said.
Now if I ever had to be institutionalized, which may happen long before I get old enough to be admitted at this Graduate School of Barflies, this would be the place to be!

You know how fast those pints can go down without teeth obstructing the route to the tummy?

How exactly are training wheels administered on the tequila shots? With bumpers on the walkers?

Body Shots could get pretty ugly too.

Not to mention the depravity of the flirtation sure to ensue when alcohol and horny 85 year old men are mixed...

Oh how the Viagara will fly.
Cheers!
Ireland is where strange tales begin
and happy endings are possible.

Way Down in Kosovo Returns

Gunn Nutt alerted me to an awesome comeback blogger: Way Down in Kosovo.

Oh and yeah, we're still in Kosovo trying to straighten out that area. If you would like some history lessons on the area, be sure to read through some excellent material and behind the scenes info about that area of continued conflict.

Amazing how the media and the democraps are so hyper about getting out of Iraq that they fail to acknowledge the advancements made or even the fact that we're still "occupying" Kosovo, a war started by their Golden Boy. (Warning: link may induce seizures in weak hearted politicos)

Newdow's New Crusade

Surely in the hunt for atheist of the year, Michael Newdow is now after our money.

"In God We Trust" is like nails on a chalkboard to this annoying twerp. I found this on Stop the ACLU:
Michael Newdow says he'll ask a federal court to order removal of the national motto "In God We Trust" from U-S coins and currency. He says it violates the religious rights of atheists who belong to his "First Amendment Church of True Science."
Here's a knat with some press who thinks that removing "In God We Trust" is more important to his well being (or perhaps his paycheck?) than containing those who want to saw off his ugly head with a rusty machete.

Who does he think he's kidding? Not I said the fly...

Sinise's Sincerity

Lefties have become so exposed that even with my horrible swing I can easily knock moonbats out of the park. Samantha Burns has a moron of the week that is quite difficult to guess because there are so many to choose from each week!

Tonight I want to highlight a Hollywood type who represents the more common man's intentions.

Gary Sinise has just become one of my favorite actors. (he's always been right up there, but this is the kicker that puts him up there with Mel Gibson)

Drudge just played a clip on his radio show where Gary was interviewed (I've yet to find this on the internet, when I do I'll modify this post) where he expressed his frustration at the mainstream media's unwillingness to report good news from Iraq such as the building and utilization of new schools for the children of Iraq. All the while the mainstream media is all over news of death and setbacks. Where's the context??

He has lately made headlines with his multiple trips over to Iraq and helping to outfit new schools in Iraq with school supplies. See Video from CBS News here.

Visit Operation Iraqi Children here...

Samantha Burns has a story about another real stud of Hollywood, Bruce Willis.

These are high profile Americans doing something instead of whining... refreshing eh?

Veterans Day Links

UPDATE 4pm PST:

On the way to the parade we listened to President Bush deliver a powerful Veterans Day speech. Here's the transcript.

Took the kiddies to an awesome parade this georgeous afternoon.

I love the military culture and pride Las Vegas takes in recognizing those who have preserved freedom for our society. These are our True Heros.

Links to more photos: Here, Here, Here, Here, Here.

You've gotta love the Chi'town cops in the Vegas Parade!

This appeared overhead:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Which shows the admiration we have for these men:

Now it's linkfest for those respecting Veterans Day 2005:

Mudville Gazette's Dawn Patrol has this mornings news from and about the current soldiers while paying tribute to those who we revere this day. A daily must read.

Soldier's Angel has a tribute to our Veterans and asks how are you going to spend your day. One way to show some appreciation is to donate to the Project Valour-IT. It is a fund raiser to provide voice activated laptops for soldiers who have lost hands, fingers, or arms. What an excellent project! Please consider giving if any way possible.

The Gunn Nutt is using the occation to double donations made in Project Valour-IT's behalf, if you decide to donate, consider doing it here.

CUG offers up a short and heartfelt thank you... as does The Man.

Cao has a story from SuperPatriots.US

Basil's Blog posts one of my all time favorite poems in honor of our Veterans.

Uber lists her Veterans Day links.

Although this isn't a specific Veterans Day post, American Lady posts a poem called America is... the poem fits the bill.

At And Rightly So, Raven breaks down the history of Veterans Day. As does Cathy at Sunday Morning Coffee.

What are Wars Fought For asks A North American Patriot.

Uncle Jimbo at Blackfive goes on a Veterans Day Vent.

Stop the ACLU has their own tribute to the Vets tied in with Project Valour-IT... we well as Open Posts!

MVRWC has a moving visual post in honor of our vets.

Dr. Phat Tony posts a moving picture that puts some perspective on the sacrifice made by our deceased vets.

Diane scanned some amazing telegrams and postcards from her scrap book archives. They're in such great shape too!

An Excellent Veteran blogger Echo9er introduced himself to me through my comments and I wanted to officially post his Veterans Day post that contains a great personal story and reminder:
So remember, even though you may has slept late, as I did, hang your flag, as I did. Hold a moment in your hearts to remember our Veterans, as I did. Remember most of all, the sacrifices our fighting men and women have endured to make our world safe.

Wow, what a day. Well, that pretty much takes care of almost my whole blog-roll. Please leave a comment with a link to your Veteran's Day Tribute and I'll include it above. Open trackbacks with out the trackback feature... I'm cool like that I guess.

Be sure to thank a Veteran not only today, but whenever you happen to meet one. Life as we know it would not be possible without the collection of all their individual sacrifices for the betterment of our country.

God Bless America.

Perverted Justice

In what was probably the best local news investigation sting I've ever seen, Channel 13 teamed up with "Perverted Justice" to bust sexual predators here in Las Vegas.

They rented a house, wired it with cameras pointing at the front door, hooked it up to the internet and let the Perverted Justice members pose as a 13 year old girl in chat room. In less than 48 hours they had approximately 12 guys show up at the door expecting to have sex with a pre-teen at her own house with the parents supposedly gone.

When that doorbell would ring, the door would open, the local investigative reporter was there to ask the person a few questions with a camera in their face and a printout of the disgusting conversation they were having with what they thought was a 13 year old girl.

The reactions are priceless.

One guy expressed concern for the type of chat their daughter was having and was stopping by to alert her parents! Uhhhh yeah right. With a bottle of Boone's Farm in hand right? It was outstanding...

One guy, a member of the USAF stationed here at Nellis saw the camera, turned and ran his ass off to his pickup and jumped in and peeled out. His mug was caught on tape as was his liscence plate and he is currently being investigated by USAF officials.

I just found out that Dateline NBC also featured these guys at Perverted Justice and ran their own story complete with video.

Entrapment you may ask? You bet'cha!
Entraping these perverted jerks is just what we should be doing.

Veterans Day Approaches

Click on poster to go to Department of Veterans Affairs website.

Veterans Day is tomorrow.

Sheryl Franklin has an excellent tribute post to Veterans Day breaking down its history.

View an emotional movie at Military.com for the vets here...

I'm extremely lucky to live in a great city like Las Vegas who takes their Veteran's Day Parade extremely serious. I've heard that it's the largest and most participated one in the country but don't quote me on that.

My boys have the day off of school tomorrow and I plan on taking them down to the parade. I'll try and snap off some photos and post them here. This holiday, Memorial Day, and The Fourth of July are the only holidays that can induce tears of respect in me. I hold these holidays in high regard and plan on instilling this emotional attachment to my children so that they do not take our freedoms for granted.

God Bless all you Veterans. I served at peace time and for not very long in the Air Force so I am of no caliber of the Veterans of America's Wars. It is nice to see these men and women appreciated and respected. Please remember to honor those in your heart who are fighting now in the Middle East... updates to follow...

French Fried

It seems as if kissing the hind tit of Islamic militants, aka murderous thugs, doesn't get you far.

The Telegraph has a breathtaking collection of pictures.

Meanwhile they are going to blame the one who foresaw the issue and tried to handle it before it got out of control, as prophetically posted back in June of this year by moi!

C'est la vie!

This from American Thinker:
American liberals have looked admiringly across the Atlantic, and marveled at the new secular, post-modern societies that have been created. These are nations with no religious right to worry about, with high taxes to support big government spending programs. Little is invested in national defense, and everybody believes in peace and human rights, and thinks the UN and international courts are the way to achieve this. Tolerance is the underpinning of most belief systems. No-one is to be judged (except Texans, Israelis and observant Christians).

Suddenly, the new utopia is naked and on fire. I expect a huge step-up in the police and military response to get the situation temporarily under control. And then all the usual liberal bromides will follow – more money, some make-work jobs programs, perhaps a few Oprah-type discussion groups on how everybody can get along better if only communication lines were more open.

I am so sick of the news right now I could puke.

Snotty reporters snidely report about insignificant indictments on Capitol Hill as France burns because of their collective loss of any sense of nationalism.

Meanwhile Bush galivants through South America giving Venezuelan leader Chavez a soapbox to preach fear to our salivating press.

This is where I take the paper and chuck it in the garbage... what a joke.

So instead I'll retreat to the comfort of one of my favorite poems. It never ceases to amaze me how well arranged words have the power to induce a renewed blaze of revelatory and universal understanding.

Huh? I think I bumped my head...
If-

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Rudyard Kipling, 1895.
Forgive me, just one of those moods...
